I know the Christmas Season has passed us by but here's a little glimpse into what our Surrey Christian Community was up to: Making sure our little buddies spread some joy and cheer to their older more "mature" buddies and letting those big buddies see the season through slightly smaller eyes and a shorter perspective.
Buddies UNITE!

ReplyDeleteThe Christmas buddies event was a huge hit at the high school campus. I heard a LOT of positive feedback. The older students loved having the opportunity to meet with their buddies on their own campus, and they loved being able to show them around. With every activity came new experiences for the high school students. Watching big tough high school boys help their little buddies decorate cookies was definitely a highlight. Our little buddies most definitely spread joy to all of us on that buddy day and it carried on with us through the holiday season. It was a great note to end the year off with and a great highlight of the winter season of 2012. As for the video of the Christmas buddies day, it was really cool to see all the bigger buddies helping their little buddies. The little buddies looked like they were having a lot of fun. I only hope that the big buddies had as much impact on the little buddies as they did on us.
