Lent Assignments for Spring Break
(I know, I know but it’s just two and Lent ends when Spring
break does!)
Part of Lent is the giving of Alms.
a.
Find out the definition of Alms; write it in
your book.
b.
Research an organization or place near to where
you live that you could participate in the giving of Alms.
c.
Record why you would give Alms at that
organization or place.
d.
Come up with something your parents can pay you
for doing around the house.
e.
Take that payment and give it as Alms.
f.
Reflect on what it felt like to work for
something and then give it away.
The end of Lent is Easter Sunday (record the
answers to these in your journal.)

How is Easter celebrated in your household?
b.
How is it different than Christmas?
c.
What do we celebrate at Easter?
d.
Does how you celebrate Easter make you think
about its true meaning?
e.
Brainstorm a few things your family could do on
Easter that would help you to focus on the gift of the resurrection of Jesus
from the grave.
I'm very proud of all of you that participated in Lent in any capacity. I know it was difficult, you did a great job!
