This past Friday we were privileged to have Hi-Touch Hi-Tech come in a teach the Grade 6's about cells. The best part? We got to wear goggles! Just kidding. Our students spent the morning looking at, touching, smelling, and generally interacting with cells on many levels. We even were able to eat some! (not real cells just candy ones.) Here's a few pictures to get your mitochondria excited.

Terry Fox.....RUN!
Here's the video of our Terry Fox Memorial Run this year. Mr. Bandstra and Mrs. Bron did a great job of organizing and educating us on the legacy of Terry Fox, then we ran. There were a few communication errors, a few over eager students, and a few wipe outs on the wet grass but there were smiles and best of all we were reminded of the sacrifice and cause of Terry Fox. Without him cancer awareness and research would not be where it is today.

Henry the VIII
The King of noble girth said, "You there, Victualer, have you procured the food for the upcoming wedding feast ?"
"No sire", he meekly replied, "I did not know how much of each I was to get".
"Listen carefully, and do what I say", growled the King. "180 head of bird and beast, you are to cook for my great feast. 500 feet they have to stand on, the number of each you now must land on".
