Podcasting Comes to Grade 6
We've completed our trials and now officially launch our first ever Surrey Christian School podcast. The Story of Stuff
Today Mrs. Penner shared a video called The Story of Stuff. She challenged us to look at the stuff we use and become better stewards of that stuff. In the comments section, suggest practical ways that you can reduce the amount of stuff you use.

Podcasting for Students
There will be a sugary reward for the first grade 6 student to show evidence of downloading the first Scribbles & Scoops podcast and presenting it to Mr. Embree on some kind of mp3 device (e.g. an iPod). In iTunes, click on Advanced > Subscribe to Podcast and type http://grade6scs.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default. You can now download some trial podcasts.

Library Field Trip
In the next few months, each grade 6 class will be visiting the Surrey Public Library. The first class field trip is for an orientation and the second is for a research block. Forms will be sent home for you and your child to complete. Note that parents must sign the form and return it by a specific date. Check out the library's website.
